The Blue Chilli Phnom Penh was founded in September 2006. This was a time when there was only one other gay bar in Phnom Penh, socializing for gay people was difficult, and finding a good drag show almost impossible.
It was then that Sokha and the Blue Chilli Phnom Penh team brought quality drag acts and entertainment to the gay scene in Phnom Penh for the first time. Since then it has discovered many talented acts in the process and within the first year they have created a success story that continues to the present day. Now the bar has been completely renovated and you can continue to expect to see new talent mixed with the most celebrated drag acts. There is now also male dancers blended in with the drag to add some spice to the sugar and make this a truly awesome night of cabaret.
Take a look at the pictures and videos from The Blue Chilli Phnom Penh below to give you a hint of the magic that this bar has to offer:

At the biggest party of Gay Cambodia Pride 2015, Blue Chilli put up a huge marque outside the bar, presented a fashion show, a thank you ceremony for the Pride organizers, and a fabulous drag show – this being only one of the many celebrated acts. This was a great act and we cannot wait to see what they will put on at the next LGBT Cambodia Pride that starts on the 14th of May 2016. See the LGBT Pride page for all the up to date news on Pride that has a day by day event calendar and a special Pride map as well! You can see the Blue Chilli website here.
