Barcode

New Street A, Siem Reap, Cambodia Facebook / Email: info@barcodesiemreap.com / +855 (0) 70 720 044

Barcode is a now well-established show bar in Siem Reap and is great fun to be at – with the French owner being not only a great host but running this bar well with attentive service from the staff, you will never have to wait long for a drink here. There is also a smoking area here. Commercial music with a large element of camp – especially during the show – this is an all-in-one feast of gay entertainment that should not be missed!.

Linga Bar and Spa

The Passage, Near the Old Market, Siem Reap, Cambodia Facebook / Email: grooves@lingabar.com / +855-12-246 912

The Linga Bar has recently moved from its old premises opposite and should not be confused with its old premises directly opposite now known as Angkor Famous. The Linga Bar has a gay only spa in the same venue and both are very popular with Martin, the owner, exceptionally proud of his large list of fine wines and amazing cocktails.

Miss Wong

The lane, Siem Reap, Cambodia Facebook / Email / +855-12-246 912

Miss Wong is gay owned, friendly and has some gay staff. You will find it on The Lane just behind Pub Street and, if you arrive from Pithnou Street, the bar is on your left. Miss Wong is most famed for it’s signature cocktails which are said to be the best in town. The bar has a wine-bar and pre-club/after dinner feel to it. Its design seems styled on the classic Asian film noir with color – remember the Lady of Shanghai?

<The Temple Club

Pub Street, Siem Reap, Cambodia

The Temple Club is mixed and can be gay-friendly especially at the weekend. It is the best choice if you want to party late.  However, although many local gay people recommend it, it is certainly not recommended by all as some find the plethora of drunken and drug-fueled backpackers can be quite intimidating. A gay traveler I met at the Temple Club said, “It’s OK. You can have fun, but you have to keep a low profile to avoid trouble.” On the other hand, I found many gay people there and was pleasantly surprised to meet many familiar faces who have finished work in the gay bars and come here with their friends – and they certainly weren’t keeping a low profile! It is what it is and for the moment is the venue of choice for the gay people of Siem Reap.

It opens at 12pm and closes at 12am.

The Little Red Fox Espresso is the brainchild of David and Adam. It started quietly with a low-key opening, and very quickly became ‘the place’ to visit in Siem Reap. It’s based in Kandal Village, just a stone’s throw from Siem Reap Center. Downstairs is a coffee shop, offering a great variety of coffees and snacks. From their cold drip, filtering away in front of you to their creamy lattes, the coffee is of the highest quality. The kitchen offers a small selection, but the flavour is perfect. Try the smoked salmon bagel or the delicious omelet with sun-dried tomatoes. Upstairs, David runs a hairdressing salon. His world-renowned styles will make you want to go and ‘have your hair done’ regularly. There’s a great buzz about the place and all the staff will make you feel welcome and special.
